What is BRACE?
We built this for the man who knows something's missing but doesn't know where to start — the guy who hasn't walked into a church in years, the dad who wants to do something real with his son, the man who needs to be challenged, not entertained.

Job 38:3BRACE isn’t a fitness event with faith bolted on. It’s built around a physical challenge that opens the door to something deeper. You come for the workout. You leave with something that lasts.
The Challenge
Seven sets, descending to one. Each followed by a 900m run. Demanding for every man — impossible for none.

The Walls of Jericho is intentionally approachable. It is not designed as an elite endurance race — it's designed to challenge every man without eliminating most men. Scale the pace, not the goal.

Day of Event
August 15, 2026 — one full day built from challenge to transformation.
Morning
Walls of Jericho Challenge
The event opens with the challenge. Physical exertion first — it opens the heart to everything that follows. Race and Challenge divisions run simultaneously.
Midday
Lunch + Fellowship
Shared meal, sponsor engagement, recovery time, and real conversation between men. Brotherhood is built here.
Afternoon
Worship + Teaching
Three sessions of Biblical teaching built around Job 38, Nehemiah 4, and a call to stand firm — grounded, honest, and challenging.
Closing
Response & Commissioning
Altar response, commitment cards, men praying over men, and a clear invitation into FORGED 27:17 discipleship.

Tyson grew up with deep church roots before spending 25 years as a professional wrestler — competing in England, Germany, Japan, and WWE. At his lowest point, he called out to God, and everything changed. That moment became the foundation for FORGED 27:17, a ministry built to help men find the same purpose and fulfillment in Christ that Tyson discovered. He leads BRACE with the conviction that men grow best when challenged together.
Born and raised in London ON, Nick trained as a school teacher before God redirected him into ministry. Starting out as Student Ministries Director at Forest City Community Church, he eventually helped launch and lead the East Campus, and now has most recently moved into the role of Executive Pastor. Over a decade and a half of leadership, Nick has invested deeply in men, families, and the next generation. He brings pastoral wisdom, real-world leadership experience, and a heart for what God can do in a man's life to BRACE 2026.
Ryan Gonyou grew up in a Christian family with several relatives in ministry, but he didn't surrender to Christ until he was 26. After 12 years of marriage and business struggles, he fully submitted his life to Jesus and gave up alcohol nine years ago. Since then, God has transformed his life—restoring his marriage and growing his warehousing, moving, and delivery company to over 30 employees. Now, Ryan co-leads FORGED 27:17, passionate about helping men rise from rock bottom, strengthen their marriages, and find hope in Christ.
